Not sure

It, of course, contains much of the needed information but it differs from the WHO listing of contents. For instance: It does not seem to have a list of anatomical sites. The new codes include that, naturally, but there is a tabled list of anatomical sites which is discussed in some ICD 10 webinars/lectures. Also, WHO lists 22 chapters in the tabular portion... while this book only has 21. I've only spend a couple of days with this book so I may still discover some things within. Also, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money for the spiral binding book. This book is more of a struggle without the spiral binding. Good luck.

This book is going to really help me with an upcoming course I need to take. I looked it over and its perfect. I didn't see any procedure codes but maybe I will need to get another type of book for this. I was totally satisfied with the timely delivery and brand new book like they described. I would order again.

provides what you need

it works just as well as a more expensive brand. Using it for a class, like the colored tab sections, would recommend it to anyone taking a coding class, the only thing I don't like is seeing the big black print of "DRAFT" across each page, but it doesn't affect the content, just an aesthetic defecit

Short and Sweet. A crash course in Skin Applications with Essential Oils

I'm a big fan of The Secret Healer and enjoy her colorful writings so much. I really recommend reading her other books as well. Currently I'm studying skin applications with EO's and her explanation of the skin is like cliff notes for my course, simple easy and accurate. Liz is witty and very well practiced as I could tell by her recipes. If you follow The Secret Healer Writes on Facebook you'll see how fast she whips these books out, she's no novice! I look forward to her sensitive skin book. Oh and my own testimony, Vitamin D makes a huge difference in skin color and texture. I'm vitamin D deficient and a few mega doses later...HUGE difference in my skin, hair and nails (appendages of our skin). Bravo Liz, now have that cake anyways:) love Su

WASTE OF TIME READ. BE CAREFUL USING THESE RECIPES IF YOU INTEND TO GIVE THEM AWAY.

After having taken classes on how to make several different skincare products from a professional, I thought this book would only enhance my current knowledge. It was written recklessly in my opinion. As a maker of natural skincare, it is the makers responsibility to ensure the product is safe. When using water, you must have a proper preservative to ensure bacteria, mold and fungus do not grow. Google up staph infections from moisturizers or any product using water without preservatives. Be warned, without a preservative you are playing with fire. Bacteria is not something you can see. There are plenty of safe, worldwide preservatives on the market like Optiphen ND, which has a usage of 1% in lotions. If you are using these recipes, they are best to be used straight away, not a month or two down the road. Do not give these to people as gifts or you may be dealing with a bigger issue. You can tell people all day to keep refrigerated and in a cool dark place, discarding use after maximum 10 days but you can not count on people to do that. I could not take this book seriously once I saw the recipes and the lack of proper preserving. Absolutely no way I would ever consider selling these recipes. I'd have a lawsuit on my hands. I am part of a network of artisan skincare makers, this is a huge no no. Safety first.

Well Done! This is the best book hands down on skin care! Miss Ashley knows the skin - inside and out. Buy this book for yourself and a friend, you will not be disappointed - I promise! It's a great book with wonderful recipes - I can not wait to start whipping up some of these fantastic skin remedies. I would give this book 10 stars if I could !!

Francisco Cabot is an undercover narc for the police. Meaty, exciting and the drama kept me on the edge of my seat...

Cabot is a narc who deals with the underbelly of society. This culture took his family away, and he has nothing else to live for other than to take them out. Cabot is one of the results of the drug lord way of life. Chris is the underbelly’s son, who unexpectedly offers Cabot a get out. But Cabot is on a mission – one of revenge. The question is whether he gets to complete it. His methods mean that, despite handing over the criminals, both the police and criminals hate him.

Totally awesome start to the story, but that’s not where the awesomeness stops. This tale of the seedy gutter, drugs, double-crossing, money, dirty cops and wishes for the fairytale ending had me immediately pegging it with the word, meaty. Every character had their place and was well written. I don’t think there was a scene that I couldn’t imagine from the authors description.

There are a couple of things the beta in me frowned at, such as body parts having minds of their own, e.g. My hands liked to pinch at Chris’s nipples. I’ve been informed many times by editors that, it’s among the thing a writer shouldn’t do. And if readers didn’t frown about it, I suspect, neither would editors. But if the Loose Id editors found it acceptable, then... but it is one of the things I, too, look out for and tut at when I see it.

All that being said, Crashing Blue had me trying to guess who was playing and double-crossing whom. It had my heart in knots and had me reading this story at every available moment. It is a story that I was able to sink my teeth into. I found it meaty, exciting, and the drama kept me on the edge of my seat, right to the end. It is one hell of a ride. If you like crime stories where you aren’t able to guess who the bad guy is within the first few chapters, you will love this.

Della is a new to me author and one I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for. This story starts off strong and barely lets up, so strap yourself in for one hell of a ride.

As per the blurb Cabot is an undercover cop. I’ve read many crime stories, but what made me sit up and pay attention to this one, was the blurred lines between love and loyalties, law enforcement and criminals.

There are a couple of sex scenes, even though they aren’t necessary to drive the plot. In fact, this could have been a five star read for me without them. Gasp, did I as a self-confessed smut lover just say that? I did. The reason, I don’t find analogies like this erotic – “I had a fleeting image of merry-go-rounds and me as one of the rides with a pole firmly inserted.” Or, “I thought about seizing a kiss as I crammed fingers into my ass.” Now before anyone gets upset I realize we all like different things, so my quotes could very well help with sales.

Oh, and one final irk. The reference to BDSM bordered on being offensive, to me. However, given the story is not BDSM I won’t go any further into the issue.

So, back to the plot. The story is told completely from Cabot’s point of view, and it worked perfectly well that way. The characters were well fleshed out, and I became highly invested in them. An absolute must for my reading enjoyment. I couldn’t even begin to fathom how all the events were going to play out. And just when I thought I had it all figured out, I was thrown one final loop. The point I’m trying to make is that the plot is far from predictable, which is another thing I loved about it.

I highly recommend this story to those who like edge of your seat suspenseful plots, when the stakes are high and nothing is as it seems.

I’m a sucker for crime and suspense stories especially if they’re interwoven with a strong romance. This book excelled at the crime drama but I felt the romance was a little lacking.

Francisco Cabot is a cop who has been undercover for so long he has trouble separating the fake him from the real him. After one case he is determined to rescue a mobster’s male whore named Snow. In order to get to him he worms his way back into the crime scene.

There was some parts of the plot that seemed confusing, but I looked past it because of the well-written action.

Cabot ends up falling for Christopher Caldwell, the son of the city’s biggest criminal. They were hot together but I never felt any real emotions between them. Were they in love? I suppose so, based on what they do for each other. However, I never really felt the emotions.

I enjoyed the various twists and turns throughout and was thrilled there was an HEA, considering I wasn’t sure that would be possible.

Slightly Dated Yet Fundamental Reference Text for Thermal System Engineers

I'm an engineering professional who recently used this book for the study of the Design of Thermal Systems at Rochester Institute of Technology. It is written by William Stoecker, a professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and published in 1989.

The first two chapters are on engineering design and selecting workable designs. A 3rd chapter introduces engineering economics to forecast system costs in terms of future costs or translate future costs to present costs. The 4th chapter introduces equation fitting to model the behavior of subsystem components based on, say data from a catalog. This is followed by a chapter on system modeling, i.e drawing the functional flow diagram indicating mass transfer and work inputs/outputs from "black" box type unit components. Chapter 6 teaches how to simulate the model which helps in sensitivity studies before or after optimization. Mathematical optimization methods such as Lagrange Multipliers, Search Methods and Linear Programming among others are presented in chapters 8-12. For project work, possibly the best part of the book is contained in the Appendix. It lists thought provoking system design challenges that involve the full breadth and scope of the tools presented in the book.

The 3rd edition of this book can be used within the context of a senior undergraduate or first year graduate curriculum. The reason I write that is because Stoecker makes only passing attempts to elaborate elementary concepts in thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics. So be warned since right off the bat, the 2nd chapter presents problems in the analysis of systems for optimization, for example a piping system for water conveyance or the design requirement to heat a swimming pool given various constraints. If it has been a while since you took thermo or heat transfer, you're well advised to use supplemental texts to fill the knowledge gap.

The ideal student of this text is one who is well prepared to face these challenging problems and has some degree of experience with them in actual working life. The merit of the book is in its well thought out problems that have been developed from Stoecker's teaching as well as research into real world design problems.

There is little possibility that a solutions manual for the text can be obtained so it is advised that the student develop his solutions with his own research and thinking. Socratic discussions with the lecturer to get further insights can always help. Which brings me to the fact that the ideal lecturer is one who has also worked in engineering plants with a number of these systems in actual practice - compressors, pumps, turbines, piping systems, evaporators, condensors etc.

The fundamentals of the math behind the optimization and system simulation may not have changed. But I've rated 4 stars for this book only because its design methodologies can seem a little dated for our times especially. Stocker hasn't really edited the book to present new concepts on concurrent engineering, design for environment, design for manufacturability, quality function deployment, decision trees etc. The meat of the book is in its analysis and optimization as the title says but I still think that the new era engineer will be served better if contemporary upstream methodologies used to generate concepts, arrive at workable solutions etc can be presented in the book. Which is why Adrian Bejan's "Thermal Design and Optimization" is also another excellent text on this subject. Stay tuned for my review of that book!!

Eric VAN RANST (1953), PhD Soil Science, MSc Soil Science and MSc Geology from Ghent University. Started professional career in 1976 as assistant of the late Professor. Em. Dr. R. Tavernir at the ITC-Ghent. In 1982 recruited by the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR) as lecturer in soil science at the National Advanced School of Agriculture (NASA) in Cameroon. From 1985 until 1991 attached at the Dschang University Center (DUC) in Cameroon as Chief of Party for the Belgian Project, Head of Soil Science Department and Chairman of the Support Service Commission of DUC. Since 1991, nominated Professor and Director of the Laboratory of Soil Science at Ghent University in succession to Professor Em. Dr. ir C. Sys. Research activities are focused on soil processes, management of tropical soils as related to their mineralogical and charge properties, and land evaluation. Promoter of the International Course Programme 'Physical Land Resources', and of several research and development projects in Africa, Southeast Asia and South America. Director of the Forest Soil Coordinating Center and Chairman of the Forest Soil Expert Panel of the UN/ECE ICP; and member of the Scientific Committee of the European Soil Bureau, and of the Royal Academy of Overseas Sciences.

This book bridges many of these gaps, both by providing valuable details into the contemporary context behind some key transitions in Indian social/economic/political evolution, and by evaluating the reasons why the results did not meet expectations.the central thesis, that India has done best when in crisis is an appealing one, but a belief only validate in hindsight. Under are all too many crises, post and present that have not been resolved, and that have not served as the springboard for significant progress or leading change.

The author also leaves out the interesting question as to why the political class has to some extent ushered in significant change such as the right to education, information, etc.even though they are for a large part primary causes for the crises themselves.

These are minor quibbles though. This is an important and well-written contribution to contemporary history and a must read.

Superlative work. I rarely use that word.

My daughters love Deconnick's work and handed me the first 4 comics to read recently. I was extremely hesitant, but since it meant so much to them, thought I would give it a try. My gramma was born in the 1890s, my mom in 1918. I grew up thru the 60s and 70s and thought I'd seen and heard all there was to know about feminism and women's rights. I didn't. I learned some things from this work. I think the incredible power of these mature comics is intense and wonderful. I would want any young woman growing up today to read them, grapple with the ideas, and hopefully grow into someone who makes the world a better place. I'm hooked. Can't wait to see what comes next. What does a feminist comic series look like? Bitch Planet.

Bitch Planet is one of the most interesting comic series being run today, and will almost certainly be studied for years to come. The premise is simple: take a dystopian future which differs from ours in that the prejudices against women are far more explicit than they are now. What would such a world look like? DeConnick's writing is brilliant in its simplicity and overtness. In her world, those prejudices (especially against women who are not "compliant" with the norms of society) are hunted down and imprisoned on the "Bitch Planet" colony. The story follows a band of women imprisoned in this colony for various reasons - some violent, others just for "disrespect" - as they struggle to keep their dignity and survive. The comic reads and looks just like an old-school exploitation film, and that's great for what they're trying to do. The art is gorgeous and each issue comes with a page or two of newspaper ads which help flesh out the world.

Bitch Planet is an avowedly feminist comic, and worth a read by both average comic readers and academics.

Delightfully derivative and subversive and a whole lot more - "Non-Compliant" rules!

Written by Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain Marvel, Pretty Deadly) with art by Valentine De Landro (X-Factor), Bitch Planet is something of an amalgam, derivative of a number of sources from women-in-prison exploitation movies of the 60's and 70's to films as varied as Rollerball, The Stepford Wives, The Handmaid's Tale, The Hunger Games and of course The Longest Yard.

Bitch Planet is set in a not-too-distant future where technology and space travel have advanced but humanity, however, has taken a serious dark turn into a totalitarian system where society exists to support hierarchical male rule and women exist only to make men happy. Women who acknowledge their role in life are considered "Compliant" and any woman who doesn't is deemed "Non-Compliant". The worst of the Non-Compliants are sent out into space to a correctional facility called the Auxiliary Compliance Outpost, more commonly known by its nickname, "Bitch Planet".

The primary form of social entertainment is a globally televised stadium-style game called Duemila or Megaton. In order to boost the game's popularity, a decision is made by the Fathers to add a team of players made up of inmates from Bitch Planet. Think "The Longest Yard" and you get the idea.

Highly recommended if you like any of the sources from which Bitch Planet stems and if you're looking for something _really_ different.
