Nancy Drew, strong female

Nancy Drew mysteries are something I read when I was 12 yrs old (long time ago). Re-reading this story again brought back good memories of spending all day reading a mystery and couldn't put it down til it was finished. Reading this story again, I never realized what a strong female Nancy was for her time (early 1940's). She wasn't afraid to speak her mind or chase a lead. I would still recommend these stories to young girls today! BTW, we are reading this book for our Book Club (age range 35 to 72) in honor of Mille Benson who wrote the first 26 books under Carolyn Keene.

Good she has Nickerson

Nancy needed a "Deus EX Machina" in the guise of Ned to get out of this one. She took too long to figure out the solution. Sherlock would have done it on the first day.

The book was in decent condition but the writing on the inside of the covers by some grade school student took away from trying to keep with making a nice complete collection
